What to Bring

You should bring:

• Swimwear & beach towels
• Sunscreen
• Casual clothing - tropical weights, cotton
• Hat(s) - with visor for sun and rain protection
• Camera and film. (Film can be expensive)
• Extra prescription glasses and medication (if applicable)
• Sweater or jacket for evenings and mountain areas
• Rain gear - useful May to November

Some of these items, like insect repellent and water bottles, are really only recommended if you are going to be adventurous and go on trips into the rain forests, etc. We mention them because many of our guests want to take advantage of our proximity to some of Costa Rica's great natural areas for exploring.

• Binoculars
• Hiking shorts
• Footwear - hiking boots, water shoes, running shoes
• Insect repellent
• Plastic water bottle - especially for hikes in the heat
• Flashlight with spare batteries
• Small daypack or fanny pack
