Tamarindo offers all (and more) that you would expect from a beach resort town,
with a Costa Rican flavor: year round high temperatures in the 80's and 90's (F), sun, sand and recreation.
Available activities include:
- World Class Surfing
- Sport Fishing
- Ecotourism and Turtle Watching
- Diving
- Golfing
- Horseback Riding
- Fine Dining, with local and international touches
- Art Gallery and Native Arts and Crafts Shopping
- Over Two Miles of White Sand Beaches
Tamarindo is the most readily accessible beach on the Northern Pacific coast of Costa Rica:
a new international airport in Liberia is about 45 minutes away by car. Paved roads lead
to San Jose in about 4-5 hours. Tamarindo's own airport is serviced by two scheduled airlines,
and charters are also available.
Tamarindo has grocery stores, bakeries, specialty shops, banks and more, poised to provide for your every need.
There are two seasons in Tamarindo. October through April is characterized by warm, dry
and sunny days, while May through September typically experience brief afternoon rains.
The latter "Wet Season" provides the best environment for the stunning native foliage - all
of Tamarindo is green, alive and growing.
